Working at Warley Woods is a daily challenge -you just never know who, or what issue is going to come through the door or be on the phone. Financially things are always a challenge too - costs always increasing and some costs are very volatile. This certainly keeps me on my toes during the day.

I love my job, but to keep me sane and not obsessing about Warley Woods during my off hours I have to find other things to obsess about instead and since 2018 that has been triathlon and the three sports that make it up.

This May I am taking on an unusual endurance challenge at the Run Rabbit Festival. I'll be running the furthest I have ever run in a day by doing 5 x 5 km runs over 5 hours (each one starting on the hour) and then adding in a 10k run in the evening. So 35 km in a day. This is probably the closest I will ever get to running a marathon and so its also probably the last time I'm going to plead sponsorship from you.

Every penny will go towards taking care of Warley Woods - funding materials, maintenance and helping us put on events. I'd be grateful for any support you can give to our special cause and I know it will help spur me on as I tackle the next part of the challenge on tired legs. Our lovely community is my daily motivator and I'll just need a bit extra on 9th May.

Thank you.

Viv

PS I know the photo is a hare and I was a lot younger when I wore that costume for a Walk for the Woods (2013) but it has always been one of my favourites.
