September Mothing '26

We have around 136 species of moth recorded on site. Every year we hold this event, we get new species added to the tally, so it should be an evening of discovery! Join me (Doug) for an evening of moth trapping here at Warley Woods (don't worry, they will all be released!!).

With help from a local moth expert, we will put out a variety of moth traps and see what we have lurking in the darkness! Try your hand at catching moths, maybe have a go at identifying some. We will guide you through the ecology of the species we find, cover some of the commonly asked questions and tackle some of the misconceptions.  

The weather is a limiting factor for this event, so it may be cancelled on short notice if the conditions mean we would be unlikely to see much. 

For young families, we are now offering a free child ticket when three full-price tickets have been purchased, reducing the price for a family of four to £15 instead of £20. Add three full-price tickets and a single free child ticket to your order to take advantage of this.
