Pickwick Papers- Theatre in the Woods

After a year without theatre in the Woods we have a new company coming to visit in 2026.  Rain or Shine Theatre Company will be bringing us The Pickwick Papers.

This summer we are proud to guide you into the delightfully chaotic Victorian world of The Pickwick Papers, where misadventure and merriment collide in a whirlwind of Dickensian absurdity!

Join the lovable Mr. Pickwick and his eccentric band of companions as they bumble their way through confusing courtships, courtroom shenanigans, questionable duels, and carriage rides gone terribly wrong. Expect fast-paced wit, slapstick, more multi-rolling mayhem, and a cast of larger-than-life characters in this brand new and hilarious adaptation.
   
Dickens has never been this delightfully unpredictable! Secure your seat, pack your picnic and prepare for an uproarious adventure with the Pickwick Society—where the only certainty is a thoroughly good time to be had by all!

This event takes place on the grassed area at Warley Woods near the small bridge on the main drive. Parking at Lightwoods Hill. If you would struggle to make the five minute walk from the car park to the performance area, then please get in touch.

You need to bring your own seating. Hot drinks are available at the interval. We will have some snack and treat foods available. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink and the performance area opens from 6.30pm if you want to grab your spot and picnic before hand.

The production will go ahead whatever the weather, unless safety forces a cancellation or there are legal restrictions on public gatherings.

If you buy your tickets online you will get an email receipt as confirmation and we will hold your tickets (wrist bands) for you to collect on the night. They will be available to collect from the Shop at The Pavilion, if you want them in advance of the event itself.
